General Information

Conference Format

The Conference will open on Sunday afternoon with the inaugural symposium of the meeting, “Inflammatory Bowel Disease: From Basic Mechanisms to the Clinic”. This will be followed by the Keynote Lecture on Sunday evening. The scientific sessions continue over the next two days featuring two concurrent Symposia each morning of four or five invited lectures. Poster Sessions and Mini-symposia are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Those authors whose abstracts are selected for a Mini-symposium will be notified directly by the session chairpersons. Mini-symposia presenters may elect to prepare a poster also. Only those posters displayed in the General Poster Session will be eligible for the GE Healthcare® Award and monetary prizes. All accepted abstracts will be published in a special issue of Inflammation Research which will be available at the Conference. Poster titles and scheduling will be available on the website (www.inflammationresearch.org) after August 25, 2008.

Breakfasts

Breakfasts are not included in the room rate.

Lunches and Breaks

Coffee breaks will be available mid-morning and mid-afternoon each day and are included in the registration fee. Lunches are not included in the registration fee with the exception of registrants signed up for the Lunch and Learn sessions.

Dinners

The special event dinner scheduled for Monday, September 22nd as well as the banquet meal on Tuesday, September 23rd, is included in the registration fee. A guest fee of $150, which includes the two dinners, will be charged for non-registrants. For other dinners, which are not included, restaurants are available in the hotel or in town.

Social Events

Evening social events are included in the registration and guest fees.
